How To Raise A Marquee

Yesterday I was playing the nosey neighbour again and spied on my neighbours across the street from my house! I'm so kaypo I need to go confessions liao! Bless me Father for I have sinned...

But I did managed to learn something from it and that is how to raise a marquee! They were having a party on Saturday night and a marquee is the best thing for a party. No more people walking all over your clean floor and knocking over your furnitures.

Step 1, lay down the canvas where the marquee is going into.

Step 2, erect the main poles where the canvas will be hanging off. Secure them anywhere you can, be it the tree trunk or the fence! Just make sure you do it right coz a good start is half the success!

Step 3, after half an hour progress has been made and the marquee is starting to take shape! Better hammer more supporting rods into the ground for the ropes to be tied down.

Step 4, another half an hour and all is not well..we seem to have hit a snag. The whole thing is leaning to one side, oh dear! maybe we need to tighten the ropes.

Step 5, we've done it! We managed to get the roof up and now proceeding to install the side canvas which will act as the walls of the marquee.

Step 6, job well done! The marquee is up and its ready for the party tonight which by the way, I'm not invited so bad luck..can't blog on that, lets just crash it!

The neighbours actually did that themselves?

That would be an incredible DIY.

DIY marquee... 6 steps, looks pretty easy. But I guess when you actually do it yourself, it's a hugh and difficult task!

If u have the land then it's cool. Knowing most Malaysians who love to cement all their ground, the effects are lost.

The marquee reminded me of those B-grade horror flicks. ONe by one those peeps got hacked...:-P

The Desperate HouseHusband strikes again!!!

Well, now you know why u were not invited to the party....you were being a kaypo and spying on them...hahahaha..so they don't consider you a very friendly neighbour....and the less they know about you the better and definitely will not bring u to their house or else you will start to take photographs of everything, including the toilet and blog about it heheehehehehhe
