Ostalia Pun Boleh!

When I was in KL not so long ago I went on a ride in that big ferris wheel called the Eye on Malaysia. You can read about it here. Not wanting be left behind, Australia must also get our own ferris wheel!

Ostalia mai kiasu! We can do it! So we built ourselves the biggest ferris wheel in the southern hemisphere! No other country below the equator has a bigger wheel than ours. No bruff wan!

The giant ferris wheel is situated at Birrarung Marr by the Yarra River. It looks really big from the distance but after some googling on the net I found out that it is actually 10 metres shorter than the Eye on Malaysia one.

But then also we don't call it Eye On Ostalia also lah. We call it the Giant Sky Wheel and it costs AUD7 to get on it. The one in Malaysia costs RM15 nia so it's still expensive wor...

But that doesn't deter people wanting to get on it, everyone's happily queuing up to go on the ride so they can tell everyone they've been on the biggest wheel in the southern hemisphere!

This ferris wheel indeed cannot lawan with the Malaysia one lah, even the gondolas look like bird cages unlike the ones in Malaysia which are all aircon one!

I didn't get on it because I remember when I went on the one in Malaysia I was bored after the first 2 rounds! Still people seem to be enjoying themselves so I say good for them lah!

The Giant Sky Wheel has 36 gondolas as compared to Malaysia one which has 40 and bigger also. You get 10-12 minute ride only wor! The one in Malaysia is 30 minutes. More value for money!

So there you have it, Australia also want to follow Malaysia. Malaysia boleh, Ostalia pun boleh!
