Everything has to go including the faucet

Renovating the bathroom is estimated to take a couple of months since we’re going to attempt to take on the task ourselves. First we have to rip everything out like the bathtub, vanity unit and the faucet. Next would be the tiles, everything has to go so we can have a blank canvas to work with. We don’t actually have a set idea on what we want just yet so anything is possible at the moment.

More rain next week

I've given up on the idea of installing a rainwater tank in my backyard for the simple reason that I don't have enough room for it, even for a slimline version. Instead I've bough myself 4 240 liter wheelie bins and together with the existing barrel they'll be used to collect the rainwater from 2 downpipes. All up I hope to collect nearly 1200 liter of water on a good downpour. It's been a while since we had a good downpour and I've been using what water we have left over from the last downpour. I'm hoping we'll get more rain come next week.

The sales is on!

With Christmas behind us for another year the much anticipated annual Christmas sale is now on. It started on Boxing Day and will continue for another two weeks. There are some keen shoppers out there hearing that people were queuing outside the department stores at 3 am in the morning waiting for the doors to open at 5! Now that’s dedication.

Back to work

Well Christmas came and went with a blink of an eye. I was so busy working I didn't even know how and when it came. This year I really missed out on Christmas; no Christmas shopping at the mall and no post Christmas sale for me. Too busy with work I have to work right through.

But it's nice to know people still remember you, it's not a completed disappointment though coz I did get to spent Christmas eve with the in-laws, Christmas lunch at a friend's and Christmas dinner at another in-law. So there, that's my Christmas all wrapped up for the year. Back to work.

Christian videos for Christmas

With Christmas literally just days away I’m struggling to get all my gift shopping done. I’m one to put in some careful consideration when choosing gifts. Don’t want to get just anything, has to be something that they’d like and appreciate so that’s why my gift shopping’s still not done yet! But I think I’ve got the right gift for a friend of mine who’s a staunch Christian and that’s Christian videos and there’s heaps to choose from at NestEntertainment.com. Now that takes care of him, now who’s next?

Waste of precious drops

I have decided to scrap the long time idea of getting a rainwater tank for my backyard, simply because there's no room for it. Instead I'm going to have 4 240 liter wheelie bins to store the rainwater when it rains.

I've already purchased the bins over the internet and now just waiting for them to arrive. I hope to get them before Christmas. There's been a recent downpour of rain but I didn't have enough container to collect them all and have to let them go. What a waste of precious drops.

CLA supplement for my health

With all these work that I’m busy with at the moment I mustn’t forget to look after my body at the same time like eating the right food, exercises and taking my CLA supplement. Oh yes, I’ve been taking these supplement for my overall health, CLA which stands for Conjugated Linoleic Acid is a type of fatty acid which is essential to my diet and helps me with weight loss as well. There’s nothing worse than making all those money to the detriment of your health!

Ready for another round

OMGawd! I woke up late this morning at 8:30! I usually wake up at 7:30 every morning but this morning was exceptional. I was so tired last night, actually I've been tired for the last few nights all due to the work I was doing right into the nights.

It feels good to be working hard again, its been a while since I felt so tired after working. Its all worth it, bring it on. More please! I'm all pumped up and ready for another round.

Light fixtures for home office

As you may already know, we turned our lounge into an office where we can work from home. However the lounge came with soft dim down lights which may be appropriate for living but not really suitable for working. We’re thinking of getting some ideas on different types of light fixtures that will be more appropriate and a good place to start would be at LightingShowplace.com.

Happy clients are good paying clients

Its been a busy week since Last Friday actually. I'm not complaining, it makes up for the quiet times we've been having last month. The clients are starting to get their acts together now I reckon which is good for all.

I've been burning the midnight oil for the last couple of nights trying to catch up with work. I like to be one step ahead of the clients so they can get their works back quickly too. Happy clients are good paying clients.

Industrial knobs

I’m currently working on a little project that would hopefully be able to protect my delicate plants from the harsh summer sun these few months. Summers in Melbourne can be a real scorcher with temperature rising past the 40C so even the toughest plants can do with a little help. The project is like a portable shade that I can assemble and disassemble in seconds and it includes aluminum rods, industrial knobs and shade cloth. Maybe I should patent it!

First day of summer

Today being the first of December is also the first day of summer in Australia. However the weather sure doesn't feel like summer at all with rain last night and cool breeze in the morning with more rain predicted for the day and the next few days.

Don't get me wrong, I don't mind the cool weather at all. In fact I welcome it especially the rain, we can do more with rain for the gardens. I'm also looking forward to this month because I'm expecting to get really busy at work as we move into Christmas and beyond.

Christmas For Payatas

Christmas is almost on us and most Australians are getting ready for the joyous season…especially the children. While we all celebrate this merry occasion with presents and food we must not forget that the children in the landfill of Payatas are rummaging through rubbish to find anything of value to sell for food.

Let’s all get together and help these children have a better Christmas; this is a charity appeal to all Australians to help with donations so they too can have a joyous Christmas like us. There are many prominent supporters for this great cause from footballers to politicians. Let us all unite as Australians and show them that we care. Please watch the video below for more information and donate generously to the Christmas For Payatas appeal. Merry Christmas!

...to make money!

It's less than a month till Christmas and like most people I'm looking forward to it. However I'm not looking forward to Christmas the way most people are in the sense that I'm looking forward to the amount of paid works that traditional a business like mine would be getting.

Yes Christmas time is traditionally the busiest time of the year for us and with business being slow the way it is, at least we can make up for it then. We're not Christians and never really celebrated Christmas wholeheartedly so it is just another time of the year for us..to make money!

Leptovox

It’s hard trying to loose that extra pound especially for people who are hereditarily heavy. It’s genetic, not just about eating too much. Some people don’t eat much but they still put on weigh so we should get help from wherever we can get it like exercises, good healthy food and a little bit of slimming product like Leptovox can go a long way to a healthier you.

It can only get better

The global financial crisis has hit home hard. We are not immune from the rest of the world, our stock market is on the landslide and businesses are closing down. We're definitely heading into recession.

Personally my own business has taken a turn for the worse also; sales is down by a lot. This month has been the slowest month ever but we can't give up now. We have to hang in there, it can only get better after the worst.

Digital signage

I have been thinking about doing some advertising for the business lately but which medium should I go with? There are so many advertising mediums out there all claiming to be able to sell your products to your potential customers better than anybody else. Truth is I need a high traffic area like a shopping mall with digital signage that attract potential customers more effectively. This I think is how I should go.

Sticking our heads in the sand.

It looks like no one is immune from the global financial melt down. The United States is in recession and so are the European countries. Japan announced that they're into recession as well and looks like Australia is not too far behind.

It is predicted that Australia will be in recession for the first half of the new year despite what everyone is saying about how strong the country is and that we're able to weather out the turmoil. We must be sticking our heads in the sand to think that.

New holiday frames

Well the silly season is almost upon us. It’s less than 40 days till Christmas! Have you organized your holidays yet? Well before you go on your holidays this year make sure you get yourself a new pair of glasses with a choice of different Holiday frames from ZenniOptical.com like I have.

If you don’t already know it ZenniOptical.com is the place to get your eyeglasses at ridiculously low prices starting from only $8. They have a huge range of frames to choose from so you will definitely find the ones you like. Right now with the holiday season upon us be sure to check out their holiday frames just arrived for the season. Don’t just settle for a frame, I got myself a few just so I can wear different frame on different days!

While you’re there at Zenni Optical be sure to check out their women’s fashionable glasses as well. Who say you can’t be stylish with glasses? You must also check out their children’s frames as well if you have kids, also have a look at their bifocal frames, men’s frames and even goggles. But whatever you need I’m sure you will find them there because if you can’t find what you need at Zenni Optical then you can’t find it anywhere else!

One out of a hundred

Things have been going quiet recently maybe due to the uncertainty of the current economic turmoil sweeping across the globe. People are scare of spending their money and rather sit and watch how things turn up. So we had to do something and I've been cold canvassing potential customers across Melbourne by sending them letters and business cards introducing ourselves and hoping to get a bite or two from them. So far I've only gotten two inquiries, I'm not expecting much but if I can get one customer out of a hundred correspondents I'll be happy.

Top careers

With the current economy the way it is a lot of people are feeling the pinch; cut backs and lay offs are leaving the average households in difficult times. We are heading into the worst recession since the Great Depression. Well, all isn’t all glooms and dooms because the economy will bounce back. We just have to hunker down and ride out the storm to come out the other end. And when the boom comes there will be lots of opportunities for top careers in almost every industry.

It never had a chance..

This morning when I came down to feed the fish I was greeted with a shocking sight; a dead fish on the floor next to the fish tank! It must have jumped out of the tank in the middle of the night and through a tiny little gap!

The problem with comets is they swim very fast and will leap out of the water if given the chance. I had one leaping out of the water right in front of me the other day but I managed to grab it and put it back in the water before it hit the floor. Last night? It never had a chance..

Best fat burner

I have a lot of friends who are forever trying to loose that extra pound. Truth is loosing that extra fat is not easy, sure one can do lots of exercise but there’s a lot of factors involved like lifestyle, food and individual’s metabolism. By far the best fat burner will have to be a trip to your pharmacy because you can get a good start with the proper medication to help you achieve that perfect weigh.

What to do?

We've finally got our BAS done; yesterday I received an email from the account with document of our BAS which the account has prepared. All that was needed for me to do was sign the document and fax back to the accountant.

In the meantime we do have to pay the GST owing to the ATO before the 25th of this month or else! Businesses are being used by the ATO to collect taxes from the public and got nothing in return except for the GST claims which isn't much. What to do?

Save on car insurance

We have 2 cars in our household but I’ve been thinking of getting rid of one of them since we only ever drive 1 car at a time. This way I’m hoping we can save ourselves some money on maintenance like car insurance, registration and services. It’s just getting too expensive to maintain 2 cars nowadays and the price of petrol is forever rising there’s just no point in keeping both cars.

This morning..

We went to see the accountant this morning. We need to get our BAS done and our personal tax returns done too so this way we kill 2 birds with 1 stone. Still it took us about 2 hours to get everything sorted out even though we haven't got much complicated paperworks.

After the accountant we decided to pay a visit to Becky and Peter's bakery shop since we were in the area. We found the place alright but they were not in! Oh well, next time then.

Tea Collection

In our line of work we’ve done quite a number of works for different children clothing companies throughout the years. We thought we’ve seen them all, I mean how much difference can children’s wear differ right? Well not till we’ve seen Tea Collection at ForestAndZoe.com where you will find hundreds of stylish children clothing at amazing prices. Their designs are quite unique and very original so if you’re looking children clothing you know where to go.

Well prepared for the summer heat

We finally got our air-conditioner installed for downstairs. The installers came bright and early yesterday morning to install the units in place but without an electrician license they weren't able to install the cabling. Another installer will have to come to finish the job.

The second installer came in the afternoon and took the rest of the day to finish installing the cabling. Because of the distance of the unit from the switch board he had to running cables through the garage and along the external wall of the house in conduits to get to the air-con. It didn't look too bad and he's done a good clean job. We're happy with it and well prepared for the summer heat.

Get our own office supplies

Working from home we have to get our office supplies ourselves now that we are working for ourselves. Gone are the days when we just tell our boss what we needed and miraculously we’ll get them the next day! These days the office supply fairy doesn’t exist anymore, we have to get off our butts to organize fresh supplies unless we risk running out of simple things like A4 papers or staples. The joy of working for yourself.

Building Fine Molds Millennium Falcon Step 11: The sides

In step 11 we start work on the two sides of the ship. There's not a lot involved in this step so we'll basically breeze through it. However there are still a lot of tiny parts involved so bring out your magnifying glass.

The two sides are almost identical so once you've done the left the right side will seem quite monotonous. Listen to some Star Wars music track while you're doing this.

Like I said; not much involved in this step but gluing tiny parts all over the different panels. I supposed that's what makes the whole thing fun; putting all the bits together.

Next step we'll start work on the lower hull so stay tuned.

Webhosting made easy

As a blogger I should know a thing or two about web hosting but unfortunately I’m quite clueless when it comes to this issue. All I know is writing about the things that matter to me and not much else. Thank goodness for blogs and the internet I can always seek help from other bloggers that are experts in the fields that I’m not. So whenever I need help on web hosting or anything concerning web hosting I’d go and read up all about it at the webhosting blog at WebHostingGeeks.com where they have a separate page dedicated to blogging about web hosting.

Whether you are a seasoned expert in the field or a novice like the rest of us, everyone can benefit from reading what they post at the web hosting blog. They are written in simple and easy to understand English so you won’t feel like a dummy there. I’ve learned a lot since being a regular reader there now I know what to look for the next time I have to renew my domain hosting for my blogs. Plus I can also compare the different prices of all the different web hosts that they have listed there so it makes finding and choosing my next web hosts easy and fast. This way I spend less time looking for a web host and more time writing what I know best.

Building Fine Molds Millennium Falcon Step 10: The front

In step 10 we move on to the two triangles on the front of the ship. Basically its still a matter of putting more details to the ship. As usual I spray painted the parts on the trees before applying them.

The diagram in the instruction manual may looks daunting with so many tiny parts but once you get into it you'll find the task rather enjoyable and before you know it you're done.

Of course they're not all complete yet; I've only just done the initial bits and more will be installed at a later stage. But at least progress is coming along and I hope to get the whole thing done soon.

Eventually when all the parts have been glued onto the ship I will give the whole thing another coat of paint just to cover some parts that didn't get spray painted and to cover the glue stains.

Car insurance quote

We have two cars in our household and with the current economy uncertainty it can get a bit expensive in maintaining both cars. That’s why we are always doing our best to minimize expenses incurred by these two cars like buying gas on Tuesdays when the price is at its lowest and always get the car insurance quote from two or three sources before picking the cheapest one.

Building Fine Molds Millennium Falcon Step 9: Starting on the upper hull.

Sorry for the lack of update on my little project here. Thing is I've been busy but better I do it at my own pace than in a rush and risk fouling it isn't it? Well let's get on from where I left off before.

In step 9 I finally get a chance to work with the main body. Up till now I've only been playing around with the cockpit and other smaller parts of the ship. Now I get to play with the ship's hull.

The hull is actually made of 2 parts; the upper hull and the lower hull. I decided to give the upper hull a coat of paint before applying the details to it. I also gave all the smaller parts a coat of paint while they were still on the trees, I just think it'll make my work a little bit easier.

In this step we're concentrating on the 'nose' of the ship. A lot of the details had to be glued onto it with a steady hand and plenty of patience. Some parts are only 2 mm in size!

Every home must have one

Nowadays it is not uncommon for new houses to come with a home theater. In fact most developers are putting it in all their new home plans to make their houses sell better. We went to visit our friends a few weeks ago in their newly built house and they had a big home theater though it wasn’t complete yet. They even have raised floors like in the cinema. I can only imagine how cool it’s going to be when it’s fully complete. I hope they invite us over for a movie soon!

Go in the way of the dinosaurs

My CD collection is so old I'm too ashame to play any of them while working. Thank goodness for the internet I can download all the latest songs and albums and make my own CD collection.

CDs are a dying technology nowadays with most music lovers opting for mp3 formats so they can carry thousands of songs in their mp3 players and iPods. Well we can't stop progress so we'll just have to change ourselves to fit in with the time or we'll all go in the way of the dinosaurs.

Chicago accident attorney

Road accidents are part and parcel of the risks involved for us motorists. That’s why experience is of the utmost importance for young drivers just starting to drive. Give them plenty of opportunity to drive, be it rain or shine it’s the only way of improving their driving skill and build up their confidence. But no matter how experienced we are behind the wheel, accidents can happen to anyone and the last thing you want to do is get someone from Chicago accident attorney to sort out your mess.

Deal's done!

We've finally decided which air-con unit we're going to get; Daiken 9KW. This little baby is going to set us back a fair bit but it'll be all worth it. Then we're contemplating which dealer to buy it from; Coldflow or Camberwell Electrics.

Camberwell Electrics is more established but their quote was higher so I rang them up to find out if they would price match with Coldflow. They agreed to the price match so the deal's done!

Take some Baby Clothes with you

It always buffled me everytime I see new parents going out. They always have to carry so many things with them; their baby of course, diapers, milk bottles, toys and Baby Clothes. It's like an excursion everytime they go out, even for short trips. Ahh..the joy of parenting. No wonder they're always tired during that time of the baby's life.

Mr & Mrs Kiamsiap Boss came to visit

Mr & Mrs Kiamsiap Boss came to visit today. They needed me to help them list a couple of items on eBay for them; one was a wood heater and the other is their son's old car!

They wanted $7000 for it but I don't think anyone in their right mind would want to buy a bomb like that for that money. You can probably get a very decent car for $7000 but not what they have, a Hyundai Accent.

Lots of mens wedding rings on their hands!

Some men like wearing rings on their fingers but not me. I hate it, I just feel like there’s something in the way when I’m working with my hands. I don’t know how some men can appreciate all those blings on their fingers. The only ring I’ve ever worn on my hand was my wedding ring and now I don’t even wear that anymore. But some men have lots of mens wedding rings on their hands! *roll eyes*

Quotations

We're getting some quotes for the air-conditioning downstairs. No choice, we MUST get air-conditioning or else we wouldn't be able to work in summer. It does get scorchingly hot downstairs when we get 40C days. Sweltering!

I rang up 3 places asking them to come for quotation but so far only 2 of them arrived. The third one representing Fujitsu never show up but the other 2 showed up and both gave me very competitive quotes. I'm still deciding who I should go with.

New office chairs

Well it has been over three months now since we set up our home business and all the equipments and furniture are actually hand-me-down from the previous business. It’s alright; we’ll just have to keep using this old furniture until we can afford to buy new ones. The first furniture we’ll be getting will be some new office chairs because the ones we’re sitting on now are falling apart!

New client

In any business it is most important to know people, lots and lots of people so with words of mouth your good work will be spread all over the industry and ultimately you will find new clients through that.

And that's exactly what happened to us; a client of ours has introduced a new client to us and we're going to meet this new client this afternoon. Even better this new client is in our local area and we pass his shop almost everyday!

Free audio books

There’s nothing better to spend the weekend than with a good book. Unfortunately I’m one of those people who tend to fall asleep 2 pages into the book! LOL I don’t know why but I just can’t finish a book anymore; I’d rather watch a movie, listen to music or do something interactively. But I think I’ve found a way back to books again and that’s with audio books. There are a lot of free audio books for us to try out on the internet. It’s good to have someone read it for you!

Conveniently forget

Where did the month go? Its the start of a new month again! Seems like only yesterday when September started but now we're into October now. Time to start calling all the clients haunting them for payments again.

You have to keep at them before they pay you. That's how everybody works around here. They take their sweet time paying so you have to keep calling them and remind them to pay or else they will conveniently forget!

Career in trucking

I am always amazed with the way truck drivers are able to maneuver their trucks in tight fitting corners and bends. You really need some skill to be able to drive one of those. I reckon truck drivers get paid well doing what they do and if I ever had a chance of venturing into this career I would jump on the opportunity. Of course I’ll need to get a proper CDL training before they’ll let me get behind the big wheel!

That's about it!

We're going out tonight, for people like us who don't get to go out very often this is a treat! Actually we're off to Crown to watch the premiere of that new movie Eagle Eye by Shia LaBeouf. The trailer looks good so I think I won't be dissapointed.

That's the thing with working from home, we don't get to go anywhere anymore. Everything is done at home and we only go out when running errands like pickups and deliveries. Other times I do go out was down to the local shops for food, that's about it!

Beautiful shoes for every women

I guess I will never understand why women enjoy shopping so much especially shoes. Yes, seems like the one thing they can’t do without is shoes like Beautifeel shoes! These beautifully crafted shoes come in a wide range of styles and elegance that every woman deserves. They are made with comfort in mind without compromising beauty and style to suit feet for every women.

More download bang for my dollar

My internet service provider has overhauled its internet plans again, I guess to keep up the competition with its rivals. Which is good because the winner is always going to be the customers like me!

So what's changed? Well I used to pay $50 for a 25 GB download with 18 GB allocated to peak hours and the other 7 GB to off peak hours between the ungodly hours of 1-7 am. Now for the same price I'm getting a whopping 50 GB download with 25 GB shared equally between peak and off peak hours. So more download bang for my dollar!

Growing up with acne

I think I’m one of those lucky guys who didn’t get a lot of acne and pimples growing up. A lot of my friends had problems with acne and pimples some worse than others. It is all part of growing up unfortunately, best we could do was try to stay on top of it by washing our faces and applying skin care products like Triclear.

Nice day today

The weather has been bad for the last few days; squally wind, freezing and wet. Today is a big difference; sunshine, light breeze, blue sky with top temperature of 18C. How I wish everyday is like today.

And to top it off I got a nice surprise in the mail today; a ticket for 2 to see the premiere of Eagle Eye at Crown next week! I won the ticket through the competition in the paper this week and I'm so looking forward to seeing this movie. Saw the trailer on TV and it looks fantastic!

Not a fan

I’ve never been a fan of private health insurance and I think a lot of people in the country would agree with me. Basically I’m paying through my nose to fund free medical services to sick people and I just feel I’m on the short end of the stick. Why can’t we just rely on the government funded Medicare system? We are already paying exorbitant taxes and the government is always boasting how much surplus they have in the coffer and yet our health system is on the brink of collapse.

I'm famished!

According to last year's figures September was a quiet month so I'm expecting a quiet month this month but holy crap it's too quiet! There's just nothing to do but pacing up and down the hallway waiting for something to happen. Sure I could go knocking at the clients' doors asking if they have any work coming up but I already know this business is seasonal so expect to find quiet times like this.

Might as well enjoy the quiet time while it lasts because you know it everyone wants their works done right away! Unfortunately that's the nature of this industry; it's either a feast or a famine and right now I'm famished!

Gaming through the years

I’ve always been a sucker for great video games. My first gaming console was the Sega Mega Drive/CD and back then they were the best console around. Later Nintendo came out with their Super Nintendo System and soon I had to get it too because the Sega system was getting kind of old. I had the SNES for a while before I upgraded to Nintendo64 and then there were a number of years that went past where I gave up on games till Wii came along. Now I have my eyes set on the PS3!

Sigh of relief

Finally after 2 months in the business money is starting to roll in. I was beginning to worry about my resources running dry before the clients start paying but lucky for me they have finally started to pay up. I can breath a sigh of relief.

But despite that there's still a couple of clients who still could not pay up yet and I'll just have to keep at them till they pay. Have to go at them easy, I don't want to loose them but at the same time I don't want to be a sucker and do their work for free.

Building wealth

There are many ways of building wealth with our hard earned savings. We could put it in a savings scheme like what the banks provide, buy and sell properties which are quite popular nowadays or be bold and invest in the stock market. For mum and dad investors venturing into the stock market may seem quite daunting so finding a broker like futures trading can help guide us in the right direction.

Meeting the new neighbors

Today I met my new neighbors. Though I've already met Joe who moved into the house about a month ago I didn't meet his family till today. They're due to move in on the 26th of this month according to Joe's wife Linda because of the kids' school term.

The kids' names are Evie and John and they look like nice kids. I also got to meet Linda's mum Thelma I think that's what her name is and John whom she lived with in Hawthorn.

Linda and the kids just came for the weekend and were heading back to the airport when I met her. They'll be back on the 26th when all their belongings will come with them from Sydney.

Protect your investments

A lot of new car owners make the mistake of not garaging their new investments from the very beginning. This subjects the cars to the elements which can ultimately lead to faster wear and tear of the body. If garage is not an option then why not consider car covers that easily slip on and off the vehicles as easy and putting on your pant!

First of the month

Today's the first of the month and it's also officially the first day of spring. Alas we can all be thawed! I learned something new from the youngsters these days and that's "A pinch and a punch on the first of the month" or something like that. Don't really know what it all means but al the kids say that.

Also the beginning of the month has always been the time when the accounts people take leave to avoid creditors calling them asking for money. I called all my clients chasing for payments and none of them was there to answer my calls! Go figure.

Acne treatments

We all get them at one time or another in our lives but some people get them worse than others. I envy those who only get a few. I’m talking about acne; the things we just hate when we’re growing up. I do believe a lot has to do with the food that we eat that determine how bad our acne gets. But if you’re one of the unlucky ones then there are always acne treatments available out there. Start at GetAcneTreatments.com first.

Signs of spring

Its been a long cold winter but finally there is a hint of spring in the air. The temperature rose a bit yesterday and it looks like it will get up to 19C this coming weekend. Spring is late this year, normally in previous years the temperature would have risen quite high already around this time but this year the cold snap just wouldn't go away and my garden is reluctant to sprout!

But all is not lost for I see signs of new growth on all my plants especially the pruned rose bushes. And with new young basal shoots come pestering possums nibbling on them. Sigh~here goes another year of battling the possums.

Choosing the right web host

A lot of businesses have their own websites nowadays and many more have plans to get their businesses online as well. Building Fine Molds Millennium Falcon Step 8: The legs

In step 8 we got to build all the legs needed for the ship. Bearing in mind that if you want to build the ship in flight mode then you can skip this step. I however want to build the ship in landing position.
There are too many pieces just to make a few legs but that's the joy of it all. At first I was going to spray paint all the pieces before assembly but decided against that idea because some of the pieces were too small!

Instead I assembled them all before spray painting them taking care not to miss any crevices and corners. They turned out quite good and I'm happy with them. So far we've been making all the small pieces of the ship but in the next step we get to work on the hull. Should be fun so stay tuned.

Acne scar treatment

The last thing you want is acne scars on your face. Acne and pimples are part of growing up but there are ways to reduce or even cure these problems completely. The scars left behind by acne can be covered up with makeup but what we really want is real acne scar treatment that works and there is hope at AcneCuresRevealed.net.

Their fault

Well I don't know why but the phone line has come back from the dead and my phone and fax are working now. Even the internet is working also although there's a lot of static noise with the phone and fax. The technician is still coming I think if anything to check out the line to find out why I've been having so much problem.

My neighbor said they found water got into the line so I may also have the same problem. They did say if they found the fault to be mine they'll charge me for their trouble. I'm pretty sure the fault is theirs like every other time before.

Plasma TV mount

Now that we’ve got our big LCD TV we really need to get a proper stand for it, not the coffee table it’s sitting on at the moment! At StandsAndMounts.com they have lots of TV stands to choose from even plasma tv mount that you can mount to the wall to get that home theater feel. There are too many to choose from though, I just can’t decide which one to get.

Move it along

So this morning as soon as I woke up I noticed the phone line went dead. So did the fax and the internet. Nothing was working and I had to run a business on no phone? A quick call to the phone company got me doing some simple isolation tests like unplugging all the lines and just testing one phone on one wall socket and yeap, still no dial tone.

They said they'll send someone to check out the problem and we asked our neighbor if she had problem with her phone to which she replied that her phone's working but she did had problem last week and the technician was out to fix it. That could be the reason; they just simply moved the problem over to my side!

Top diet pills

Losing weigh is not just a simple step of exercise anymore. There are a lot of things involved like eating the right food, exercising and diet pills. There are plenty of diet pills on the market but it’s imperative that we get the right ones so do a bit more homework on which ones suit us best, check out all the top diet pills on the market before settling for the right one.

Who dun it?

I've been having a lot of problem with the internet connection lately. Last Thursday and Friday was the worst with the connection dropping off every few minutes. Problem is I can't really isolate the fault, is it the modem? Is it the phone line? Or is it the service provider?

I don't think it's the fault with the service provider but maybe something to do with the modem. Been on the phone with their technical support all weekend and tried all the remedies they threw at me but still the problem persists. I may have to get a replacement unit from them until this morning when we found the phone's totally dead! Now the culprit could possibly be the phone line...

Sick fish

One of my fish has been sick for sometimes; its tail is rotting away and it couldn't even stay upright. Yesterday I decided to quarantine it by separating it from the others in its own little space treated with multi-cure treatment I got from the Aquarium.

I must say the medicine is doing it good coz this morning its upright! Still not swimming nor eating though but at least there's improvement. I just hope it makes it, would be a shame to see it die.

Running all over town

You don't have to run all across town looking for that wedding rings for your wedding. Just log on to Titanium-Jewelry.com and you'll find all the rings you need including a huge selection of mens wedding bands. I'm pretty sure you will find the rings you both like. Go on, do check them out today. Don't waste anymore time running all over town now.

Mouth ulcers

Dang! I have a mouth ulcer today, must've got it after the fried chicken from KFC yesterday. I'm very prone to mouth ulcers especially if I take fried food like fried chicken or chips. I used to get it even worse years ago before I use Listerine as mouth wash. But ever since using Listerine twice a day after brushing I'm getting less mouth ulcers nowadays, I still get them but not as often nowadays. So I conclude it must be due to bacteria rather than fried food!

Contemporary Jewelry

While we're at the subject of rings the same people that bring you tungsten rings also bring you titanium rings; another stylish and durable jewelry from Titanium-Jewelry.com where not only can you find rings but cuff links, ear rings and necklaces too. More and more people are getting into these contemporary jewelry, do check them out today.

A balance between the two

I saw a mouse in my compost bin the other day. No wonder the neighborhood cat likes to hang around the bin so much; it was looking for a meal! Anyway I put some rat poison in there hoping to kill it. I just hope it won't die inside the bin but rather outside because it will stink like hell if it did.

That's the problem with having a compost bin; we try to do our best for the environment by reducing waste but we get vermin along the way. What to do? There has to be a balance between the two.

Indestructible

I've been checking out these tungsten rings that are sleek, stylish and extremely durable on Titanium-Jewelry.com and I gotta say I like what I see! These rings are made by forging tungsten and carbide powders together to form this virtually indestructible rings. More and more people are swaying away from conventional rings to these modern stylish rings for any occasions.

I'm happy with it

I've told you already that my neighbor's moving to UK right? He left an old 17 inch ViewSonic monitor outside for anyone who wants it. Guess what? I grabbed it! Why not? It's a much better monitor than what I have now; it even has built in speakers and microphone and all the cables came with it.

So I've hooked it up with the work PC that I use everyday and I can hear sound! LOL. Then again I couldn't get the microphone to work but I'm not fuzz over that..and the stand is a little dodgy which is of no concern. I'm happy with it.

Better sense

We went down to the local Salvation Army depot to drop off some old clothes for charity. While we were there we were amazed at what we saw; there were thousands of old clothes that people didn't want especially baby clothes. I think it's because babies grow out of their clothes before they wear them out. Goes to show sometimes hand me down clothes make better sense than buying new ones.

There's just no stopping them.

What a start to the morning; as soon as I walked into the kitchen this morning I was greeted by hundreds of ants marching along a trail from the window down the wall, across the stove and into the wall. I know Terese would freak out if she sees this so I quickly wiped them off with a wet rag and put some ant sand that would kill them.

Last I checked there wasn't any but you never know, they might just keep coming but that's what the ant sand's for; to kill them all. We've always had problems with ants and we thought we've eradicated the problem but now they're starting to come back. There's just no stopping them.

Contemporary stylish rings

Getting married doesn't mean you have to get the traditional wedding rings that most young people dislike. There are new contemporary stylish rings that will appeal to all ages from Titanium-Jewelry.com, even mens wedding bands so do check them out today. You'll be glad you did.

A surprise visit

Just got a surprise visit from my ex-Kiamsiap Boss and his wife. They were in the neighborhood suburb and decided to drop in to see how we're going with our business. The last time they were here was 10 years ago when we just bought the house.

Well it was kind of nice to see them drop in, they didn't stay very long though coz they're on their way to the solicitor to get the contract that would finalize our buying the business from him.

Hastily

Our neighbors left in quite a haste; they're off to live in the UK for a few years because the husband has been promoted to work there for a number of years. In the haste of moving they've forgotten to bring some of their essential furniture like the crib for the baby. Luckily they can get another crib bedding from BabyBox.com quite readily.

So cold

Golly its so cold today! I'm freezing my butt off in the office. I used to complain about my Kiamsiap Boss not turning on the heater but now that I'm paying for the gas I'm being the Kiamsiap Boss myself!

Anyway its good to know that I can go play a game of two of tennis on the Wii to keep myself warm. Now that I'm all warmed up I'm back in the chair again. I'll probably jump back on the Wii as soon as I'm frozen up again!

Gotta be happy with that

I’m no wine connoisseur but I have two friends who are and boy do they love their wine. Just about every birthday and Christmas presents can be wrapped up with a bottle or two of fine wine that these two wine lovers will adore. Now that I’ve found a site that has all the award winning wine of the month clubs I have plenty of fine wine to choose from as gifts for them. They got to be happy about that.

It's good to be frugal

I've been a really good boy all weekend; I stayed home all weekend and didn't even went out. Well maybe down to the shops to buy some food but that's about it. Saturday was spent babysitting Terese's niece and nephew and Sunday was spent doing the odd jobs around the house like mowing the backyard's lawn, changing the water in the fish tank and just lazed around the house!

I'm not complaining since I'm working from home now so it doesn't really matter if I went out on the weekend or not. Actually not going out means I save some money since going out only means spending more money. It's good to be frugal!

My Recipes

I like to think that I’m quite well trained in that I can pretty much do anything in the house like cleaning up and washing up. But there’s just one thing I’m not too good in and that’s cooking. Sure I think I can cook up a meal or two that are very basic but if it’s something gourmets you’re looking for then I throw in my towel. But it’s good to know that I can get recipes for more exotic cooking from MyRecipes.com that can help me improve my cooking skill.

Sabrina came to visit.

Sabrina & her brother came to visit on Saturday with their parents. They've come to play the Nintendo Wii, they seem to have fallen in love with the game console and even their dad has decided to get one sooner rather than later.

They pretty much stayed the whole day here at our house, playing Wii. It was a God sent for the parents because they were even able to go out by themselves for a couple of hours while we babysat their kids. Well, they're good kids and easy to take care of..I thoroughly enjoyed the day with them.

Personalized Baby Gifts

When going to a baby shower one is expected to bring along a gift either for the baby or the mother. Well you can at Mamabebe.com where personalized gifts are a specialty. Check them out today.

The Pope in Sydney

The Pope's in Sydney this week and there are thousands of pilgrims around the world that came to the harbor city just to see him, to cheer him on, to hear him speak and just to be in the same city as he is.

The Pope's being treated like a royal, a superstar enjoying all the attention, the glamor and the splendor that money can buy. Too bad Jesus never got to enjoy all those when he was around but all the popes do. Religion aside I think this does good to the city and the country on the whole cause it brings in visitors and put us in the eyes of the world.

First time parents

I think for first time parents they will be very tempted to buy all the new baby furniture for their nursery in anticipation of the new baby. Then when the second baby comes along they can use all the furniture from the first nursery.

Once you've decided not to have anymore kids you'd want to get rid of all those furniture you bought! Do your good deed for the day; give them to first time parents!

Quiet day

Today's quite a contrast to yesterday; yesterday we worked from dawn till dusk but today it's been quiet, too quiet for my liking. But then again we usually had days like these at the old place and we used to loved it! Now that we're working for ourselves it's a different thing.

Well it wasn't a total wasted day, I did went out to see my clients in the morning so that got to count for something. Just no new work came in today that's all. Gave me a chance to catch up on all those things I was meaning to do. Hopefully tomorrow will be a better day.

The move part 4

The guys all started rocking up after 6 and by 7 everyone was here. I asked for too many helpers but it was better to be safe than sorry. There was Selwyn and Paul, Terese's brothers Heng and Sang all came to help. Sure makes heavy work light.

But it was dark already at that time of the night but luck for us there was a spot light inside the truck and with my porch light we were able to see what we were doing. Easy peasy, the 2 plotters were soon in the garage in no time!

Mens wedding bands

One thing you got to remember when you’re getting married is never to let your parents do any of the planning. A friend of mine had these parents who thought they knew best so they must be in any decision making regarding the wedding like the wedding rings. Never let them choose the wedding rings for you, find the right rings including mens wedding bands that you like, not what the parents like!

The move part 3

When we got home Terese and I started moving the lighter things into the house ourselves. We even managed to move in the 2 filing cabinets and the heavy digitizing table! We emptied the contents of the 2 filing cabinets before moving them with the aid of the hand trolley.

The digitizing table though it's heavy but when the table top was taken off the weigh was lessen and I was able to move the stand with the hand trolley and the table top was carried in. We still had the 2 plotters to be unloaded from the truck and my helpers should be arriving around 7 in the evening...

Crib bedding

Not only did our friends bought the moses basket from the shop they also bought a crib bedding set to go in the nursery. I gotta say some of the beddings I saw in their catalog were really quite beautiful. Maybe I should start thinking of having babies of my own soon!

The move part 2

The Kiamsiap Boss arrived at the factory not long after but we needed more than 2 able persons to move the plotters so we had to wait for his son Scotty to come help us. Took him a while but it's better we had more help than none at all.

Surprisingly we managed to load up the whole truck by lunch time. The trolleys and the hydraulic lift of the truck help a lot and soon we were out of there and heading home...

Moses basket

Some friends of us were out looking for a bed for their newborn when they found the cutest baby bed they’ve ever seen. It was practically like a basket, a moses basket to be precise. Like how Moses was sent down the river in a basket. It was so cute they had to get it!

The move part 1

Well the move went better than I anticipated. We started dismantling the computers and plotters on Thursday afternoon and were able to take all the computers home in 2 cars! All that was left were the 2 plotters which had to be moved with a truck the next day.

Friday morning I had to wake up at 6 to be ready for the truck. Terese drove me to the rental place to pick it up and we were both at the factory by 8:30 am. Then it was a matter of waiting for some able bodies to help load up the plotters.

Thinking twice

I guess the reason why I never wear any rings on my hands is because I’ve never like rings. But then when I saw those Titanium Rings I’m beginning to think twice. They are stylish and very elegant in designs plus they last a lifetime. Maybe I should start thinking of wearing some blinks on my hands from now on.

We'll be right

I think we're doing the right thing; risking the security of working for someone else to go out and be our own boss. I'm pretty sure we are doing the right thing. Well if it's not then we have to make it right. There's no alternative, we either make it or we go bust and I choose to make it. We'll be right.

Think of the freedom we're going to have working for ourselves. The money we'll be making, nothing motivates better than making money for ourselves. Makes hard work easy. Makes working weekends all worth it.

All that blinks

I for one don’t like wearing jewelry; I don’t even wear my wedding ring! I know some men who like jewelry a lot and they like wearing those sparkling blinks all over their bodies. But that’s just going over the top and it looks ridiculous. If you’re going to wear jewelry wear some nice mens jewelry from Titanium-Jewelry.com.

A happier man

You know with all the stress I get from setting up this new business I've neglected to do my Yoga and exercises on the WiiFit. Yes I know it's terrible, my whole routine is thrown out of place. I'm not exercising, I'm not blogging, I haven't done any house chores, my garden has been neglected and I'm not having any fun!

Well hopefully after this weekend when we've moved the equipments into my house and we can start working at home things will start to go back to normal and I'll be a happier man.

Firstborns get the best

Most first time parents would want everything to be perfect for their firstborn. So before the baby arrives they’ll have everything set up nicely like the bed and baby furniture for the nursery. But as soon as the second baby comes they tend to slack off a bit, they won’t mind old hand me down stuff and old furniture. I’ve seen it far too many times.

Friday's the day

Friday is the day we've planned to move the office into our house. I've booked the truck and will be picking it up at 8 in the morning. The 2 plotters and the digitizing table are the heaviest items so the truck is mainly for carrying them. The computers are relatively light so we might even just transport them with our own car.

There will be people at work to help load up the truck before I drive it home in the evening where my friends and brothers in law will be there to help unload. Hopefully everything will run smoothly on the day.

Hand me down crib

Most people when having a baby will get the hand me down crib bedding from their friends or other family members. It’s a rather good idea; you save money and you know for sure your baby’s going to outgrown that crib in no time. Then you can give it away to another friend who’s having another baby!

Stressed

I'm totally stressed! All these being my own boss isn't quite as easy as I thought it would be. There's so much to do, so many things I gotta get done properly before I could even begin to call myself boss!

Today we went to see the accountant who will be looking after our books. His name is Ron and he seems like a man who knows what he's talking about. Well he better coz I'm clueless in terms of book-keeping but he assured me he's got something easy for me to work with. Let's hope for the best.

Bookworms

A kid’s brain is like a sponge; it will absorb any kind of information you throw at it. That explains why most kids love to read, they just can’t get enough of them. Even before they learn how to read they still fall in love with books, they’ll get an adult to read the books for them and as soon as they know how to read there’s just no stopping them. It’s hard trying to keep up with their reading and thank God there are plenty of children's books out there.

Absence

I've been neglecting my blogging lately. No choice, there's too much to do with the new business so blogging will just have to take a step backward. I'll be happy when everything is up and running and things calm down a bit so I'll have some spare time to catch up on the blogosphere.

I haven't been reading up on my friends' blogs either and have not had contact with them for quite sometimes. Hopefully I can get back to my blog socializing with them soon rather than later. I hope they still remember who I am!

Unlocked phones

I remember when cellular phones just came out they used to cost a bomb. Nowadays they’re practically giving them away or selling for a fraction of what they are worth. The reason for service providers to do that is to attract more customers, what they make a loss on the phones they can make it back from the calls. It’s a win-win situation for both parties but the problem is these phones are locked to their networks. There are places where you can get Nokia unlocked phones and they don’t necessarily cost a fortune.

Working on Saturday

Gee..it's been a while since I last work on a Saturday and today I am! Well, just trying to catch up on all the works so I can go see the accountant and other appointments next week. If I don't do it the works will never get done and that means I won't get paid!

It's kind of nice working on Saturday; there's no interruption so works can be done quicker. No stress, taking my own sweet time and when I've moved the office into my house next week I'll be able to work Saturdays every week if I want..not that I'd want to but it's possible if I have to.

Home gym

Yes I know I’m putting on a few pounds lately. There’s no excuse for not doing more exercises but work’s been really busy. I’m thinking of setting up a home gym so that I wouldn’t have to spend too much time going to the gym as I’ll be able to do my exercises at home. All I need is good exercise equipment and all the other accessories to go with it.

Building Fine Molds Millennium Falcon Step 7: Docking stations

In this step I got to build the 2 docking stations that will go to the 2 sides of the ship.

The instruction is quite self explanatory, looks simple enough until I started working on them. Some of the parts were way too small for my tweezer and after this I think I'm going to need to get a proper plastic cutter. I've been using a normal wire cutter to cut them, so far so good until now. Working with small parts need precision tool.

I thought of gluing everything together before spray painting but then I'll probably miss some corners here and there so I decided against it instead opting to spray paint individual parts before putting them together.

The only parts I did glue before spray painting was the tiny bits of pipes inside the 2 circles coz I figure I wouldn't miss any corner there.

Letting her choose

I must remember not to take the wife to buy new kitchen faucets for the newly renovated kitchen we are doing. Knowing her she’ll take forever to decide which one to get. I couldn’t believe how many kinds of taps there are! Well maybe I should let her decide because if she doesn’t like the ones I picked she’s not going to let me have any peace so I logged on to FaucetOutlet.com and sat her down in front of the PC and let her choose what she wants!

So much to do..

Okay, the cat's out of the bag. I've spilled the beans on me working for myself so it's no more a secret. I'm preparing my house to accommodate all the machines to go in soon. Today we rearranged the furniture and found we have too many old furniture that need to be thrown out.

I had to move my personal computer upstairs and arrange phone cable to have the internet hooked up. So I had to claw around on the roof with the dust and confined space. Now I'm aching all over and it's not done yet! Tomorrow I have to clean out the garage for the plotters to go in.

Doing it again

Did you know we didn’t have a proper wedding when we got married? We just did it at the registry office with some friends and family. Oh yes we did exchanged rings and all that but it was such a small affair we should do it again! And this time we’ll be getting some titanium wedding rings that are sleek, smooth and stylish.

It's all happening now...

Something big is happening in my life at the moment. I'm hoping everything will go smoothly, it's very daunting coz I've never done this before. But if I don't try I will never know so wish me luck.

Sorry I can't tell you yet but when it comes into fruition I will definitely tell the whole wide world! It's exciting and if all goes well my life will be much better off. It's all happening now...

Mortgage Lenders

With rising interest rates times are tough for new home buyers who want to get out of the rental market. However if we do our homework carefully we can still afford to buy our first homes by choosing the right mortgage that suits our individual needs. There are so many mortgage lenders out there and choosing the right one can be daunting, try using a broker who can choose one for you.

Building Fine Molds Millennium Falcon Step 6 Part 2: Battle stations completed.

In part 2 we finish off the battle stations..

These are the rest of the battle stations; gunner seats, gunner cockpits and the battle station enclosures. Seats were painted in flat black while the cockpits were in neutral grey. No painting needed for the enclosures.

Then when the paints are dried the seats are placed in the cockpits which are placed in the enclosures.

Finally the enclosures are covered with the gun turrets we built in part 1 before decals are applied to the panels. That's all there is to it! Next the docking bays in step 7.

Merrell shoes

It’s been a while since I bought myself a pair of shoes. The last time I bought a pair was I think a year ago; a pair of cheap work boot but its falling apart on me. I guess I’ll be shopping for a new pair soon but this time I should be getting some good quality shoes like a pair of Merrell shoes.

Nothing exciting

Saw these couple of dogs outside the library, don't know what breed they are but they're kind of cute so I took a picture of them. They weren't the slightest interest in me as they were looking anxiously for their owner to come back out.

Nothing exciting to tell today, just want to share the photo. At least the weekend's coming up so that's something to look forward to. No plan for the weekend, how about you?

Portable computing

I have been using computers since the days of 486 CPU and over these years I’ve gone through countless desktop computers. Desktop computers are fine unless you need to travel then a more portable laptop computer would be more appropriate. Though I did had a laptop computer years ago that I bought secondhand it wasn’t powerful enough for much use. Last year I finally bought myself a proper laptop computer that is powerful and yet portable enough for what I need.

Building Fine Molds Millennium Falcon Step 6 Part 1: Battle stations

In this step we get to build the battle stations, you know the ones that Han Solo and Luke Skywalker were shooting TIE fighters like playing video game in Episode 4?

Because there are 2 battle stations, one on the top hull and the other on the lower hull, I had to do everything twice. That's twice the parts, twice the work and twice the fun!

All pieces had to be spray painted prior to gluing. I could've glued them together first before spray painting but that would leave the nooks and crannies out. All areas need to be coated with paint.

And when they're dry putting them together was quick and easy. These are just the gun bays with the gunners' windows. I'll finish the rest off off in part 2.

Phentermine diet pills

There are a lot of diet pills on the market that can help us with loosing weight. Unfortunately a lot of these have to be prescribed by your doctors except for Phentermine. Phentermine is one of the most sought after diet pills on the market today. Read the review on Phentermine without prescription at ConsumerPriceWatch.net to see if this is the diet pills for you.

Building Fine Molds Millennium Falcon Step 5: The satellite dish

After finishing the cockpit its time to start work on other parts of the ship and in step 5 I got to build the satellite dish that goes on the left side of the ship's upper hull.

Though it's just a simple satellite dish there's a lot of pieces involved that needed to be glued together. That's how detailed Fine Molds' products are.

Some of the pieces I decided to glue them first before spray painting them since they'd come up better but other parts I needed to spray paint them separately because the paint needs to get into all the nooks and crannies.

Once the paint dries I could glue all the parts together and we have once satellite dish ready for the ship's hull. Next I'll be starting on the battle stations!

Retails are for suckers

When it comes to shopping I’m never the one to pay retail price. Retails are for suckers, there’s always a better price than what they advertise at the shops. Always shop around, I couldn’t stress that hard enough because you’ll be surprise what you can save. Most importantly check out Buy.com where you can always find the best buy for any item you’re looking for.

Building Fine Molds Millennium Falcon Step 4: Completing the cockpit

Took a while but it's finally finished. I'm talking about the cockpit of course. In step 4 I can finally finish off this part of the project and move on to the other parts.

Step 4 is simply putting the final touches to the cockpit like adding the little details to the tunnel and adding the canopy to the cockpit. There's a choice of using a clear canopy or the frame canopy and I opted for the frame one coz its easier. The clear one needs to paint in the frame which will be a pain.

There you have it; one cockpit done complete with Han Solo, Chewbaca and Ben Kenobi. One last thing to do...

...adding the decals to the top part of the tunnel. There were 5 gray pieces to go on the panels. Easy enough.

Miracle or snake oil?

A lot of overweight and obese people have tried all kinds of methods to loose weight but still they haven’t been successful. When exercises don’t work the next thing they would try is taking fat burning drugs like Miracleburn hoping to blast that stubborn fat away. How reliable these so called miracle drugs are yet to be determined. I think a good healthy lifestyle should be adopted if we are to live a normal healthy life.

Building Fine Molds Millennium Falcon Step 3 Part 3: Cockpit extension continues

After spray painting the exterior panels for the cockpit extension it's time to add in the details inside.

First up these 3 pieces will form parts of the cockpit interior so a flat black color will have to be painted.

Next decals representing control panels for the walls are applied to the top tunnel.

And then it's time to finish off by putting them all together.

Great flight deals

I’m thinking of going back to Malaysia and Singapore sooner rather than later. The thing is there are usually some really good flight deals going around so I’m looking for the best deal I can find. To save time I just log on to ShermansTravel.com where I can find and compare all the different deals being offered by the different airlines and hotels. This way I let them fight over my business and I save a bundle!

Building Fine Molds Millennium Falcon Step 3 Part 2: Cockpit extension

With the cockpit fully occupied with our heroes its time to build the rest of the cockpit and that includes the outside shell and the windshield completing the whole cockpit module.

The 3 main pieces that make up the cockpit module are the upper tunnel, lower tunnel and the half cone that the cockpit sits in. All had to be spray painted with Tamiya's AS-16 light grey first.

Water purifiers

Water from our taps has gone a long way from the clean water reserve along pipes that are old and contaminated. By the time the water gets to our house it is laced with contaminants, I wouldn’t think of drinking that at all.

But there is a way around it and that’s by installing water purifiers that removes the contaminants before it comes out of the tap. This way we can have pure water again!

Break the price barrier

DIEW! Petrol price hits another record high today; 164.9 cents a litre! Motorists were all expecting a jump in petrol price today and BP didn't disappoint us with their new record price barrier in Doncaster.
With the rate its going we will soon be paying over $2 per litre by Christmas! So should we still be driving at all? Time to get myself a horse and wagon and do it the old fashion way I reckon!

Deal or No Deal Star Wars style

How cool is that?! Just got told by Serenity that they have a Star Wars themed Deal or no deal on their local television where everyone's dressed up in their favorite Star Wars characters.

So immediately I went googling for it and sure enough they do have it! I wonder if the Australian version will follow suit. I hope it does because though I don't really watch this show here I wouldn't mind sitting through an episode of Star Wars Deal or No Deal!
